So after the justice conference and with March being our advocacy month at youth group i have been thinking a lot about way to not only heal the individual hurt, but also find ways to address the systemic problems we face in the world.
I think i was struck yesterday when the pastor of churchinbethesda.org talked about how his congregation was apolitical. I had just had a couple of days of why the church should be all about changing the world through doing justice, and then this guy says that he doesn’t even touch it.
Man I am surprisingly on the side of the Methodist Church on this one. Who what have thought. I starkly remember in high school not even trying to make a faith and government connection and now i am ready to go to a rally. Maybe even get arrested…well just maybe. 🙂

I TOTALLY AGREE. I FEEL THAT EVERY PART OF OUR LIFE, EVERY DECISION WE MAKE, AND THINGS WE WISH TO SUPPORT SHOULD ALL BE INFLUENCED BY OUR RELIGIOUS VIEWS.
