Practical Faith for Practical People

One of the things that being at home with my baby Eden has given me an appreciation for is the time and care it takes to be a parent.  I know that any of you may already know what i am talking about.  But for those who don’t know, having a child seems to be a very big act of love manifest through humility.  Changing diapers, getting barfed on, changing clothes, accessorizing when we go out in public, the 1 million things that you need just to take her on a trip with you to Borders, waking up to feed and burp your little one…and the list goes on.  Throughout all of these things you really get to know and understand your priorities, and all of these things that my youth kids wrinkle their noses at are only details.  The bright and shining points are when you are blessed with the opportunity to see this little person discover the word and do new tings for the first time.  To smile, and coo, to recognize who you are and begin to try and craw.  All of these things melt the heart and seem as if they are gone in the blink of an eye.  What a blessing it is to be home with my EDEN.  🙂
