Today was the first day of annual conference and it was a great time. I was able to see a ton of people that I haven’t seen in a while. I saw a bunch of friends being recommended for probationary membership and who are being ordained this year.
It has been a blessing to have Victoria and Alyssa here with us and showing them the ropes and how the decisions of the UMC are made.
There was a really fantastic sermon from the Chaplin from Boston University who talked about worry from Matthew 6. It was so rich and so wonderful i wish i could have stopped him just so i could process what he was saying and then move on when it sinks in. A quote that has stuck with me is that he said that “worry is fear looking for a cause.” perfect…did i mention that this is my fav. scripture verse ever.
we had some other great conversation…and as the day began with a great view of the harbor, Eden and I are tucking in with a beautifully lit harbor. Good Night Baltimore.
