Today I was able to share a devotion that I created with a group of pastors from our district through out monthly meeting called Disciplar groups. Our district superintendent was there and other conference staff. So what do you do with a group of pastors ranging from early ministry to nearing retirement? Play with blocks!! What else? It was great fun talking about the messiness and sometimes ugliness of church when everyone comes to make up the church, but it gives us a more full understanding of what it is to not only be the body of Christ but to use gifts and share stories to incorporate everyone into the congregation and into God’s larger Church. Plus, it was fun to see the faces of some of the stogy old timers when I said that this is what we were doing.
