Practical Faith for Practical People

how does your faith operate

talk I have had a number of conversations with a couple of different groups throughout this past week and a half and there is a common thread throughout a number of the conversations.

I think that the disconnect is a problem of perspective.  Do you live out your faith so that you are can gain the approval of God? Or do your live out your faith as a response the love that God has already showered upon us?

We have been given an amazing gift that God loves us so much that God has made a way to come back in right relationship with him.  While still messed up there has been a way for us to come to know the love of God in a new and amazing way.  The bottom line is we don’t have to be a fined work to come to God.  Take a look at this passage from Romans.

8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
–Romans 5:8 (NLT)

Each day we can choose to live in relationship with God.  This relationship is not cohesive or divisive.  God just longs to be in relationship with each and every one of us.
