Practical Faith for Practical People

Bringing down the house

so tonight at our Maunday Thursday service I (along with 7 communion servers) were seated on our Social hall stage during the first part of our service when our backdrop came crashing down around us.  Our beautiful Last Supper backdrop that had been up for about 10 hours decided to come down in the 30 minutes we were in the room for the service.  I don’t think it could have been better.  I joked with those around the table that the Upper Room must have been built by a first century Group Workcamp crew :-).  It was all good fun.  I guess no matter how much planning goes into a service there is always a way God reminds us to smile (even during holy Week).
