So i have begun the process of packing for workcamp and the first thing that i start with is the list of books that will make the cut to come along with me. This year i think that there will be a little more room for such amenities because of being on a bus for about 48 total hours going there and back. I am excited. here is what I have in the pack so far…

• Bible ( a thin one)
• Revisiting relational youth ministry (just finished)
• Family based youth ministry
• Controlling the chaos (middle school ministry book)
• A new way of youth ministry
• Messy spirituality
• Devo zine–devotional that i want to try and use to base small group in the fall off of

Time will tell how things will change

After a crazy couple of days of retreating it seems like some of the wildness has calmed down. Now we have Vacation bible school going on and that is a ton of fun too. There was all kinds of wild stuff that went on and a great deal of messiness as well.

got the lifeforceyouth.com domain registered for another year. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet that makes my heart happy.

So I was listening to a very good sermon a little while ago…but there was something that was said that has stuck with me. Even about a month after i heard it I am still thinking about it. The pastor made the comment in passing about how at times we live in relationship with God and others/other times we live apart from God.
Can we live apart from God?

I am scrambling to renew the lifeforceyouth.com domain before it expires.  But it is still with our old host apparently…drat.  I have called tech support and am waiting on an e-mail now.  We will see

there is something about licking the bowl after making cookies, cupcakes or other treats.  Katie and i were watching TV the other day and there were 6 little girls making cupcakes with mom.  Throughout the whole thing the girls wanted to “lick the blue thing” which was the spatula. The wanted to eat the remnant of uncooked batter in the bowl.

Why is licking the beaters, spatula and bowl so much more fun than eating the finished product.  What are the “lick the bowl” moments in your life?

For me it is taking pictures of my beautiful family, and seeing students in our ministry grow in their faith.

Planning on taking some of our student leaders to a worship experience at AU at the end of the month.  This looks like a really cool thing.  I am really excited.

It looks like we are going to try and take the van down and have some dinner and the go to the event.  Cool Beans!!!
