Pass it on
October 29th, 2008
On Sunday I met Katie and Eden for lunch at McDonald’s for a very fancy meal (oh yeah big spenders). We sat down, ate and watched people play with the giant slide puzzle (you can see a guy with camo on playing with it in the pic).
We had a delightful meal and then Katie went to a meeting and Eden and I finished our food, but not before something struck me. Eden was eating only her bun with Ketchup on it. This is
not something that is very strange I guess but it got me thinking. Katie loves Ketchup sandwiches. I was mesmerized but the fact that Eden was chomping down on a Ketchup soaked piece of bread.
I had just read a passage from Deutoeronmy 6 the day before where the people of Israel are being told how to pass on their faith to the next generation. Here is what it says:
Ice Cream Rollin’
June 24th, 2008
The other night Eden and I thought that it woudl be a great idea to make some ice cream with part of my father’s day present.
Before she was born I got this ice cream ball that you fill with ice and salt in one end and then the ice cram stuff in the other and shake rattle and roll it around to make your treat.
So, after about 30 minutes of playing on the floor right before bed we had a little treat that we were able to share, and we had a great time doing it.
What a great way to spend the evening while mom finished her sermon ![]()
On My Ipod: Jack Johnson upside down and the 3 r’s
May 30th, 2008
I was turned on to the Curious George “Soundtrack” by a woman from church because she said that “It is music that you and your daughter can listen to while still keeping your sanity.” Being as here favorite CD makes me want to fling it off of a bridge I thought I would give it a shot.
Jack Johnson’s great flow and style soothes even the most savage of teething babies, and the dads. I think that this is a blessing to all who have little ones.
My Newest Hiking Buddy
April 18th, 2008
Eden and I took our first real hike today. We went up in the Watershed and hiked around for about 30 minutes. We have a way cool backpack that we were given from a family that knew it would be perfect for us. Needless to say i have been counting the days that she was big enough and praying for the weather to break. And today was that day.
She loved the hike but fell asleep about 5 minutes from the car on the way back. Oh well. Guest some stamina conditioning is in our future.
Easter egg hunt.
March 15th, 2008
We had a great time and MUMC’s Easter egg hunt and brunch. The Young’s, Twigg’s and all of the others did a great job and Eden had a great time seeking out her egg. It was really a wonderful time. I’ll see if i can get a pic. in a little while

Chillin
March 7th, 2008
So we gave Eden a bath on the “Big Girl” side of her tub and she was lounging in it like it was her job. With a quick photoshop job (not the best but it works) she was transported to a tropical getaway. All she needs now is a dab of lotion and a parasol in her bottle. fun stuff check out the pic. The wailing wall…well crib.
January 24th, 2008
So last night was Eden’s first night spending the whole night in her crib (which she really avoids like the plague). So Katie and I broke down and we are now following the guidance of Eden’s Dr. and making her be a big girl. She did fairly well and I was excited the amount she slept on her own. If she sleeps on mom or dad’s chest she will be out for the entire night. But, on her back and without mom and dad is a different story. we will see how tonight goes, but one of the first things I received upon arriving at the office today was reassurance from a mom that there is an end in sight (she had just celebrated 2 nights of blissful sleep with her little one.)

Let it Snow
December 5th, 2007
Today was the first snow of Eden’s life. This was such a fun time to bundle her up and go out into the snow. I can’t believe that it took so long to get her dressed. She is so small but layering still takes time. The blessing is that she is in diapers and so that means that when we finally got all of her clothes on we didn’t have to worry about her haveing to go to the bathroom after we got her all suited up.
This was a really fun time and the snow is still falling. I am sure that we are going to have like 100 more photos on the way. ![]()
